This blog is dusty and ignored. Time to remedy that.
2007 has been very good to me and my family.
Our oldest daughter Meg left for her Freshman year of college. She is attending SUNY Canton studying Criminal Investigation. It's a cold, snowy place up there but she likes it and did very well in her first semester, scoring a 3.09 GPA. Nice job Meg!
We had to get a new roof on the house this year. Forty sheets of plywood, felt, ice and water shield, and 30 year architectural shingles. Twenty eight square. Lots of money. Enough said. No more roofs for this house while we own it!
Robin and I both traded in our old vehicles this year. They were both 14 years old. Robin's van had 120,000 miles and my Lexus was over 100,000. Dependability was down and repair bills were up. Out with the old and in with the new. Robin is the proud new owner of a 2007 Kia Sportage, and I'm driving a 2007 Honda Civic Si. We should be good to go for another 10 years!
Also, I traded in the Honda 919 for a 2007 Suzuki Bandit 1250. You can read about it and my first impressions here.
As I write this, our youngest daughter Calli is sitting in the orthodontist's chair having braces installed. She is nervous but anxious to have perfect teeth. Last one!
That's for now. Hopefully this blog will get more attention in 2008!

The insurance for my Bandit is also very inexpensive, running about $180 per year including collision. Great buy all around!
