I took my daughter to a concert a few years ago. We went to see the Dave Matthews Band here in western New York. We both like their music a lot. We sang. We danced. We laughed. We bought t-shirts. We had a blast. We made a great memory.
Now she's a Sophomore in college and doing better than we could have hoped in academics, in work, in personal interests, in social ways, in life.
This week I took my daughter to see Dave Matthews Band in Saratoga Springs, about four hours from home. We still both like their music a lot. We sang. We danced. We laughed. We bought t-shirts. We spent the night and shopped and walked the town the next morning. We had so much fun. Great memories. That will last a lifetime.
Seeing your kids grow to become good people is one of the biggest joys in life. I couldn't be more proud of her. And I'm happy that she's old enough now to be seen with her Dad again.
