Ridin' Robin

Gorgeous Saturday morning in April. Two days of vacation behind me. House and yard work done. Clear conscious. Forecast is for sun and 80 degrees. And Robin wants to go for a ride.

Off we go. Head south toward Naples for some lunch at Bobs & Ruths. We have to take out the thermal liners of our gear because it's so warm (in April!) -- welcome to Rochester where we go right from Winter to Summer. Off to Dansville for a quick visit to her Dad's grave. Then home via Livonia and Mendon. 120 miles of fun, sun, and relaxation.

Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul.

Great ride. Great day. Great wife!

Let the Ride Season Begin!

Finally. After a long, hard northeastern winter, the change of seasons has arrived. The snow is gone. The days are longer. The landscape is green again. We had our first 80 degree day of the year yesterday. Welcome to Rochester New York, straight from Winter to Summer. And I couldn't be happier.

So with a new car, a new motorcycle, and warm days upon us, the Blog breathes new life. This year I'm going to blog my rides. Any rides long or short, memorable, fun or just worth sharing. I'm also planning to do my first Iron Butt Association Ride this year, a SaddleSore 1000. The SaddleSore is the IBA's "easiest" ride, 1000 miles in less than 24 hours. Look for more on this as I begin to prepare for this adventure.

Let the season begin!
